Very clean. Very little to no earthyness. Slightly peppery and tastes fresh and a bit like cucumbers. 1/4 level teaspoon isnt quite 1 gram. 1 gram is about 100mg of kavalactones. so a bit less is still about a shells worth of kavalactones. This is a very nice daytime kava and a great, easy traveling kava.
